Newport-Mesa Unified School District has received a recommendation to name the Costa Mesa Middle/High School theater after long standing Costa Mesa Middle/High School teachers, Sandra Gilboe and Jon Lindfors. The NMUSD Board Policy 7310 (naming of school facilities) requires us to collect feedback from the community. We are asking you to provide feedback on this recommendation. The committee will use this information to make a recommendation to the Board of Education in accordance with the Board Policy 7310.

Both Sandra Gilboe and Jon Lindfors during their combined nearly 80 years of service to Costa Mesa High School and Newport-Mesa Unified School District. They have made a profound impact at the school, community, and students with their contribution to the growth of the instrumental and vocal music programs creating five separate choirs, multiple piano courses, and award-winning marching and jazz bands, orchestra, and beginning, intermediate, and advanced instrumental music classes.
