Testing Timeline

JUNIOR TESTING             

  • OCTOBER          PSAT (National Merit Qualifying Exam for juniors only)
  • MARCH              SAT Reasoning Test
  • APRIL                 ACT + Writing
  • MAY                    SAT Reasoning Test or SAT Subject Tests (if applicable)
  • JUNE                   SAT Reasoning Test or SAT Subject Tests (if applicable) and ACT + Writing

SENIOR TESTING

  • SEPTEMBER      ACT + Writing
  • OCTOBER          SAT Reasoning Test or SAT Subject Tests and ACT + Writing
  • NOVEMBER       SAT Reasoning Test or SAT Subject Tests
  • DECEMBER        SAT Reasoning Test or SAT Subject Tests, and ACT + Writing

Students are responsible for sending test scores directly to the colleges they are applying to for admissions by from their ACT or College Board accounts.  Please check with the colleges and universities you are applying to as not all of them are using the SAT and/or ACT scores as part of their admissions process.

SAT Subject Tests are comprised of subject exams.  Each subject exam is one hour in length.  Up to three subject tests may be taken in a single sitting.  Subject tests must be taken in two different subject matters.  Students can choose any of the following subjects: math level 2, history, foreign language, literature, or science depending on the student’s strength in these subject matters.
