ECHS Mission Statement

Early College High School genuinely engages a wide spectrum of students by offering a complete and rigorous curriculum, supported by technology and aligned to student interests and educational standards. Flexible and innovative coursework with an applied learning focus is provided in a challenging and supportive environment. Students will earn a high school diploma and transferrable general education college credits, enabling them to attend college and pursue a career path.

 

ECHS Vision Statement

Early College High School is a collaborative effort between the Newport-Mesa Unified School District and Coastline Community College. The program is structured to provide successful, challenging, and meaningful experiences for all students. ECHS is an academic program intended to enable students to pursue postsecondary education and a career path. Students are offered the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and meet university entrance requirements. Students also take college courses for which they receive college units through dual enrollment.

ECHS has just established a new anonymous ECHS Text-a-Tip Hotline number for all students, families and staff members to use if you receive a tip or information that may pose a serious threat to a student or school safety. 2018-19 Registration Dates

On-site school registration will be held on the following dates and times. Students should try to make their designated date and time, but may come another time if s/he absolutely cannot make their grade level time frame.

Monday, July 30th: Seniors (9 a.m. to noon); Juniors (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Tuesday, July 31st: Sophomores (9 a.m. to noon); Freshmen (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

All sessions will be held in Room 17 from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Snack and lunch will be provided. You must register online at https://5saturdays.org/.

On-Site Registration

Monday & Tuesday, Jul 30 & 31

On-site school registration will be held on Monday, July 30th: Seniors (9 a.m. to noon); Juniors (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and Tuesday, July 31st: Sophomores (9 a.m. to noon); Freshmen (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.).

New Student Kick-Off

All new students and their parents are welcome to attend our new student kick-off from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will start in our MPR where you will have the chance to meet ECHS staff, our ASB, go on a campus tour and have a free lunch on campus. Hope to see you there before school really starts the next day!
